This second set of images from Olivia & Conrad’s Wedding at Brooklyn Arts Center was shot on 35mm film. There’s something about 35mm film that digital simply can’t replicate. The soft tones, rich colors, natural grain, and beautifully imperfect details create images that feel timeless and deeply nostalgic. Film has a way of slowing down the day, encouraging intentional moments and authentic storytelling rather than endless rapid-fire frames. The result is a collection of photographs that feel genuine, romantic, and full of emotion—like memories preserved exactly as they were felt. Whether it’s the quiet anticipation before the ceremony or the energy of the dance floor, 35mm film adds an artistic, heirloom-quality touch that complements digital photography beautifully, giving you a wedding gallery that’s both modern and timeless. Film packages are available as an add on to complement your wedding package and are billed per roll. Portra 400 is my go-to color film, with T-Max 400 my go-to black & white, but I can shoot whatever film you desire. These images were shot on a Canon A2e body with Portra 400 film, using a variety of L-series prime lenses.

There’s something timeless about the look of real film. As a Wilmington, NC wedding photographer, I offer 35mm film wedding photography for couples who love authentic, nostalgic imagery with rich colors, soft tones, and the unmistakable character that only analog film can create. Whether you’re getting married at one of Wilmington’s historic downtown venues, celebrating along the beaches of Wrightsville Beach, or exchanging vows beneath the oaks of a coastal estate, film beautifully preserves every moment with a depth and emotion that’s impossible to replicate digitally. By combining the reliability of digital photography with the artistry of 35mm film, you’ll receive a wedding gallery filled with genuine, timeless images that feel as meaningful decades from now as they do today. If you’re searching for a Wilmington film wedding photographer who values intentional storytelling and classic imagery, adding film to your wedding day is the perfect way to create heirloom photographs you’ll treasure for generations.
