There’s something pretty special about getting married somewhere that is already a part of your family’s story. Carsen and Eddie’s wedding day took place at Eddie’s parents’ family farm in Bladenboro, North Carolina, making the entire day feel incredibly personal from beginning to end. Instead of a traditional wedding venue, they celebrated on family land, surrounded by the people and places that mean the most to them.
And then there was the weather. A massive storm rolled through right in the middle of their ceremony, creating one of those completely unpredictable wedding-day moments that you simply can’t plan for. But once the storm passed, we were rewarded with one of the most incredible sunsets of the evening. Adding to it all was the massive barn that Eddie’s dad completely cleaned out and transformed into their reception space. It made for an amazing setting to celebrate with family and friends and gave the entire wedding an authentic, laid-back feel.
All of those little details came together to create a pretty unforgettable North Carolina farm wedding. As a Bladenboro, NC wedding photographer, these are the kinds of wedding days I love photographing most — personal, laid-back, full of genuine emotion, and completely unique to the couple.
