Emily and Connor’s wedding at Shell Island Resort in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, was anything but ordinary as Tropical Storm Isaias brought strong winds and rain to the coast. With their original beach ceremony plans washed away by the weather, they improvised with an indoor ceremony and focused on what mattered most: getting married. Their dog Lola proudly served as the wedding-day mascot, guests enjoyed an oyster bar during cocktail hour, beautiful florals by Eco Chic Blossoms added a personal touch, and dinner was provided by Middle of the Island. We even braved the storm for some dramatic, windblown outdoor portraits that captured the wild beauty of the day.
