Siera | Bridal Session at Old Homestead Farm

November 1, 2025

Siera’s bridal session at Old Homestead Farm took place just a few weeks before her wedding, and it was such a beautiful and meaningful afternoon. Having the entire venue to ourselves — knowing she’d soon be walking down the aisle in that same spot — made the experience even more special. I always love when brides choose to do their bridal portraits at their wedding venue. It’s the perfect opportunity to see how everything will come together on the big day — the dress, the hair, the makeup — all within the actual setting where they’ll say “I do.” It’s like a calm, joy-filled preview of what’s to come, without the busy pace and time constraints of the wedding day itself. These sessions also help ease pre-wedding jitters and give us time to create stunning, relaxed portraits that truly reflect the bride’s personality. Siera plans to display one of her bridal portraits at her reception, which is always such a fun and sentimental touch (and something that makes me just as excited as she is!). And one detail I absolutely loved? The custom hat her mom made just for her bridal look — such a unique, personal addition that perfectly complemented her style and tied the whole session together.

If you’re planning your wedding and considering a bridal session, I can’t recommend doing it at your venue enough. It’s a meaningful, low-stress way to capture timeless portraits before the big day — and a chance to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime season with a little extra magic.
