I had the pleasure of photographing Katie & Dal’s engagement session at Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, back in February. Even though it was a bit chilly, the day was perfectly sunny and peaceful, with the North End of the beach all to ourselves. Timing is everything — by June and July, this part of Wrightsville Beach is packed with tourists, but catching the tide just right gives you the perfect quiet moment to enjoy the scenery. The sunset over the marsh at the North End made an absolutely stunning backdrop for their Wilmington NC engagement photos, capturing natural light, ocean reflections, and authentic connection. I’m excited to photograph their wedding early next year and continue documenting their love story!
