Blake & Jared’s Intimate Backyard Beach Wedding

Blake & Jared’s Intimate Backyard Beach Wedding at Southern Grace in North Topsail was a culmination of some of my favorite most things. Intimate beach weddings are one of my favorite events to photograph. Grab a bunch of friends and family, rent a big house on the beach, and have a weekend (or week) long party. Especially if you’re from out of town, I can guarantee most of your friends and family won’t think twice about heading to the beach for a destination wedding. Early May is one of the best times to plan a backyard beach wedding, the temperatures are mostly hovering around the 80s and tourist season has not yet kicked in yet, leaving you a summer-ready beach all to yourself. Blake & Jared did just that. Being from Ohio, they chose a group of their closest friends and family and landed on the beautiful Southern Grace home in North Topsail. A popular spot for weddings due to its shear size and amenities, sleeping up to 60 people, equipped with a pool, tiki bar, direct beach access and an open area underneath to host a intimate reception. From the moment I arrived, Blake & Jared felt more like friends than clients, and documenting their wedding day was such an awesome experience. Days like these are a reminder that weddings do not need to be massive productions to be unforgettable. Sometimes all you need is the beach, your favorite people, and a weekend together to create something truly meaningful.
