Wrightsville Beach WeddingJustin & Emily were wed on a scorcing hot summer Sunday (Father’s Day Sunday) on the Oceanic Pier in Wrightsville Beach, NC. The Atlantic provided a stunning blue/green hue as the backdrop for this wedding on the newly re-constructed Oceanic Pier. Their wedding had an elopement “feel” to it, just a small inimate ceremony with their closest friends & family followed by a formal meal at the Oceanic Restaurant located on the pier. Congrats to this couple on their new baby boy that arrived late last year!
I had the pleasure of photographing Matt’s proposal to Melissa down at the North End of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, in the shadow of Shell Island Resort. He popped the question well after sunset, as a beautiful fog had surrounded them, filtering through the reds and pinks from the sky. Here are a few frames.
Here’s another one that has been sitting in the vault. Tony & Amanda were one of those couples who I never got an opportunity to meet prior to their wedding day. Besides typical email communitcation, the morning of their wedding was our first time meeting face to face (they’re Georgians). You would think that would create a sort of anxiety for them and I, but we hit it off from the start and they immediatley felt like friends.. They had one of the best ceremony setups I’ve ever seen. Super elaborate and elegant, with a raised platform, bamboo arbor, parasols, etc. setup on the Southern End of Wrightsville Beach. The reception was held at Lumina Hall on mainland Wrightsville Beach, with the always delicious Middle Of The Island catering. It was such a pleasure getting to spend the day with these two and their closest friends & family.
I finished up the photos from Joe and Keely’s Wedding at the beginning of the month. I always tell myself I’m going to just make a small post showing only a few images, but once I start making the layouts I find it hard to narrow down the ones I like the most. Anyway, here’s some of those…
