Not gonna post the whole batch cause they’re not that great. I didn’t get out there until late thursday night, so the the sun was already hiding, therefore the shots are a little on the grainy side. But just to show the size.

Went over to Masonboro Island on Wednesday night, August 01, 2010 to catch the first signs of swell from Hurricane Earl. The wind wasn’t cooperating as much as we had hoped, but there were definitely some bombs coming through. I stayed out shooting photos well past sunset, so you will notice a loss of quality towards the end of the gallery. Click on the post title above to view the whole batch.

Made it out on saturday to shoot some action from the Reef Sweetwater Pro Am Surf Fest at Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Couldn’t make it on sunday to catch the finals, but congrats to Michael Powell for taking the win and Ben Bourgeois for taking second. Heres a handful of shots from saturday. Also be sure to check out the full gallery here.
Shot these after an AM surf session at Wrightsville Beach, NC May 26th. Not sure who these guys are.
I was basically out all day shooting photo saturday. The swell came in pretty nice. I was out at CB for the morning and headed down to WB in the afternoon. Its sad that I can have as much fun shooting photos as being in the water. A pretty epic storm rolled in during the evening at Wrightsville, and luckily I had a plastic bag with me, because the bottom fell out just as I was about to head in. The photos of the storm can be found at the end of the slideshow. I’ve noticed that the quality of the photos are decreased in the slideshow for some reason, but there is 79 altogether. 1-34 are from Carolina Beach, and 35-79 are from Wrightsville. I lucked out at WB, Ben Bourgeois and friends were out there shredding at the jetty, so I got a lot of him, showing why he is one of Wrightsvilles most famed pros. Enjoy the photos!
