Dan + Christine | Brooklyn Arts Center Wedding | Wilmington, NC Photographer

Brooklyn Arts Center WeddingNo better way to follow Christine’s bridal session than her wedding photos! Brooklyn Arts Center is one of my favorite venues in Wilmington to shoot. The director Rich is super accommodating to everyone and makes sure everything runs super smoothly throughout the day. Charyl from Social Butterfly and Design Perfection literally knocked this one out of the park. I’ve shot here a lot and its always interesting to see how the bride’s vision can be translated into the space, lets just say Christine’s vision is on point! In a tradition of good luck, Christine’s mom handcrafted 1000 gold origami cranes to hang elegantly behind their cake table and it was absolutely stunning. It was such a happy and emotional day, its hard to look at the photos and not have all those happy feels come rushing back! This wedding was also featured on Borrowed & Blue!!

Christine | Bridal Session | Brooklyn Arts Center / The Annex

I’ve been caught up in Spring wedding season for the past few months, I’ve worked with some super awesome couples and captured some amazing moments, and I’m super excited to start sharing some of this year’s (and some last years) weddings. I started off the year with a Bridal session with Christine, my April 1st bride, at the Brooklyn Arts Center & the Annex. I really love the way these came out, as well as their wedding images, which was pretty incredible in its own right. The Annex and BAC is such a great wedding venue, much thanks to Rich, the director for opening the doors to us late on a monday for this session. The Annex is a fairly new venue, which is attached to the Brooklyn Arts center, and I’ve yet to shoot a wedding there so I was super stoked to get in there and check it out.

Jeff + Wendy | River Room Wedding | Wilmington, NC Photographer

River Room WeddingJeff & Wendy have known each other since elementary school. In fact, they have proof. During picture day, in Mrs Horne’s 4th grade class, these two, either by fate or coincidence, are pictured sitting side by side. If you believe in fate, you don’t need much more evidence than that. If only they knew many years later, they’d be facing each other, in front of their many friends and family, vowing to be by each others side forever. You can’t make this stuff up, folks. Their wedding was a great way to kick off my 2016 wedding season and the River Room provided the quintessesntial back drop to celebrate their futures together. Thanks for having me guys.

Adam + Lauren | Wrightsville Beach, NC Wedding Photographer

Wrightsville Beach WeddingWhile I have some downtime before fall wedding season picks up, I figured it would be a good time to throw some backlogged weddings on the blog. For this one we’re bringing it back to a beautiful October day last year, where Adam & Lauren held their backyard style wedding on the Northern end of Wrightsville Beach. With Big Lollipop Bay as the backdrop, their stylish rustic themed event covered 2 properties adorned with haybales, rustic fall decor, a reclaimed wood bar, vintage candle center pieces and a centered dance floor illuminated by string lights. Guests made use of an awesome Photo Booth setup on an adjacent dock complete with fun props and a vintage sofa. Everyone celebrated well past sunset and sent the newlyweds off in style with a sound-side boat exit. I had an awesome time hanging out with these guys and their fun and energetic bridal party. Looking back on this wedding, I look forward to those cool crisp fall nights just around the corner. Contact me to book your dream Wrightsville Beach Wedding!
