Had the pleasure to travel up to Grayson Highlands State Park a few weeks ago for an epic elopement in the park followed by an intimate reception at their cabin. Small weddings in the mountains are my favorite!

Kind of speechless to the impact this recent storm has had on the Asheville area and really all of Western NC. Our hearts go out to anyone affected. The images I’m seeing are mind-blowing. Many are without homes, water, electricity, cell service and are essentially trapped with no way in or out.

Only downside is I forget to share them after the wedding day passes! Kat chose to print this image and displayed it at her reception. And I’ve got to tell you, nothing makes a photographer happier than seeing their work printed!

When the best time to get married in NC coincides with Hurricane Season, you’re bound to get a few hurricane weddings. We were barely able to step outside for this one, but luckily the stunning interior of @brooklynartscenterweddings made up for it. 🤩
