Wrightsville Manor Wedding I knew from Kat + Aaron’s engagement session that their wedding was going to be a styled dream. Kat designed everything herself and her family and the crew at Bubbly Events executed her vision perfectly. Their boho styled decor was over the top gorgeous, too many details to name. Eco Chic Blossoms put together the florals and arranged a stunning bouquet that is one of my favorites to date and Wrightsville Manor provided the perfect backdrop to house their friends and family for an unforgettable event. River Room WeddingJeff & Wendy have known each other since elementary school. In fact, they have proof. During picture day, in Mrs Horne’s 4th grade class, these two, either by fate or coincidence, are pictured sitting side by side. If you believe in fate, you don’t need much more evidence than that. If only they knew many years later, they’d be facing each other, in front of their many friends and family, vowing to be by each others side forever. You can’t make this stuff up, folks. Their wedding was a great way to kick off my 2016 wedding season and the River Room provided the quintessesntial back drop to celebrate their futures together. Thanks for having me guys.

I met up with Jaime and Kayleigh at Castle Hayne park earlier this year for some maternity photos. She was 34 weeks at this point. Their son, Zye, was born just a month after we took these! These guys have been friends forever, and they are already proving to be awesome parents! Congrats guys!

But all 2015 weddings are out the door, and the door is open for 2016! Southport Community Center Wedding. Here are some photos from Orry and Laurens’ wedding in Southport / Oak Island, NC a couple weekends ago. If you follow the blog, you’d remember these faces from their engagement session a few months back. This wedding was a blast. We started out on Oak Island where Lauren & her bridemaids were preparing for the big day. Just down the road, Orry and his groomsmen were doing the same. The ceremony was held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southport, NC. This was my first time photographing a catholic wedding and it was BEAUTIFUL! The church was fantastic and even though the ceremony was a little longer than what I’m used to, it gave me the opportunity to get even more photos! The reception was held at the beautiful Southport Community Building, located in historic downtown Southport, overlooking the water. The reception can only be summed up in a few words, these folks know how to party! I also had the pleasure of working with videographers Josh and Patricia from Reel Weddings (http://www.thereelweddings.com/). I shot Orry and Lauren’s engagement session a couple weekends ago in Southport, NC. Our original plan of beginning the shoot at Orton plantation was a bust, since that place is still locked up like Fort Knox. We still managed to bag a bunch of incredible images in our short 2 session. These two were naturals making my job easy and fun. And any excuse to explore around the beautiful downtown district of Southport is a good one. I look forward to capturing Orry and Lauren’s Wedding at the Southport Community Center in May.
