I had the pleasure of shooting Dan & Jessica’s wedding as my first wedding of 2014. Couldn’t have been a better group of people to kick it off. Dan & Jess are from Ohio, but we did manage to get in an Engagement session at Fort Fisher in July of last year, you can check those out here. They were super fun and outgoing, a lot of fun to photograph and be around, I knew their wedding would be a blast. We started off the day at their rental house in Kure Beach, before moving on to the beautiful ceremony location; a secluded section of the beach at Fort Fisher. Take notes brides, Spring is the best time for a beach wedding, not a lot of people on the beach and great weather. Following the ceremony, we made a quick stop at the Grove at Fort Fisher for some Bride & Groom portraits before moving on to the Winner Party Boats in Carolina Beach. There’s nothing better than crusing down the waterway as the sun sets, grooing to some good tunes (provided by DJ Professionals). We even had an opportunity to shoot some night portraits down at the Kure Beach pier following the reception, which turned out to be some of my favorite images from the day.
