Shelby + Jared | Forever Home Farm Wedding | Asheville, NC Photographer

Shelby & Jared got married at @foreverhomefarm in Pisgah Forest NC, just south of Asheville. The weather couldn’t of been more perfect and with a 200 year old farmhouse, barn and 15 acres of mountain beauty, Forever Home Farm provided the perfect backdrop.

Annie + Tom | Weaver House Wedding | Asheville, NC Photographer

Annie & Tom were wed at the beautiful Weaver House just north of Asheville, NC in Weaverville, NC. We had planned prior to get some sunset photos at the Tanbark Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The weather wasn’t cooperating but, despite the rain, we decided to stick to the plan. One benefit of the cloudy & rainy conditions, those fall colors really popped. Probably the best display of fall colors I’ve seen. And since we did these photos prior to the ceremony, it was perfectly timed for the weather to hold off enough for their outdoor ceremony. The indoor space provided the perfect location for their reception and the outdoor Japanese inspired gardens and vibrant fall colors real set the scene for an amazing picturesque event.

Mallory + Kyle | Moore Cove Elopement | Asheville, NC Photographer

I had the opportunity to team up with Folk & Wayfarer to shoot this amazing elopement in Asheville, NC. They recited their vow and changed into their wedding attire along side a stream in the Pisgah National Forest before hiking to Moore Cove Falls for a more formal, officiated ceremony with their closest family members. We even had a chance to go up to Looking Glass Falls for some couples portraits. I can’t express how much I love elopements, its a less complicated, more intimate way to tie the knot, not to mention it cuts out a lot of unnecessary costs, and it allows you the time and opportunity to focus on what matters the most, becoming one in marriage. Here are a few of my favorites.

Best Moments of 2015 | Wilmington Wedding Photographer

Every year, I like to look back on my favorite moments. Things go so fast during wedding season, once I have one wedding out the door, I have another one right in front of me. So a lot of times I don’t get to look back at every single image. This allows me to do that. I’ve included not only images from the business side of things, but also from personal projects and travels. I already have a lot of good things planned for 2016, so I’ll look forward to sharing those when the time comes. Enjoy!

Jesse + Jamie | Greystone Inn, Palate Bottle Shop Wedding | Wilmington, NC

Greystone Inn WeddingI messaged Jamie a few days prior to her and Jesse’s wedding, asking if all the plans were still in place. I did this because there was a hurricane predicted to make landfall on the day of their wedding and I had heard from a few fellow photographers that their weddings had been postponed. Her response was, “Hoping for a miracle, the show must go on…” The use of the word miracle was key there, as shortly after, the hurricane took a turn eastward, missing us completely. We didn’t have a drop of rain and the sun even made an appearance. I knew from my first meeting with them, that their wedding was going to be awesome. With a rustic/elegant theme, a food truck, a Bottle Shop reception, and a stunning couple, I knew this was going to be a unique and memorable event. I told them during their couples portraits that they could be on the cover of a wedding magazine, and boy could they. I make a joke about certain weddings that I could just close my eyes, point my camera, snap away and still come away with gold, this was one of those. Their ceremony was held outdoors in the courtyard of the Greystone Inn and the reception was at Palate Bottle Shop. The food truck was provided by Vittles and it was exceptional. Flowers by Julia’s and music provided by Karl at Coastal DJ. Note: Sorry for the data strain on your device, there’s 85MB of images below. 🙂 Enjoy.

Best Of 2013 | Wilmington, NC Wedding & Portrait Photographer

Good day blog stalkers! I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas followed by an even better New Years! We’re enjoying a bit of down time here preparing for our batch of 2014 weddings. I was incredibly greatful to have worked with so many amazing couples throughout 2013, and I am looking forward to the many more I will work with in 2014. I’ve decided to go through my images from 2013 and post of a series of my favorite images. Some personal, some from weddings, engagements, family portraits, etc. I’m not the best at picking favorites, so there are quite a few, but I think you will enjoy looking back on my year.

Now without further ado, here is my 2013 Year in Images (In no particular order). Enjoy!
