Scott+Lindsey | Engagement | Fort Fisher, NC Photographer

Well, wedding season it officially in full swing here in Southeastern North Carolina. The temperatures are warming, the flowers are blooming and the tourists are beginning to filter in. This first post is from Scott & Lindsey’s engagement session down at Fort Fisher, NC. After a couple reschedules and a week of unpromising weather, we finally managed to nail down a day with perfect conditions. Lindsey made some awesome props for their Save the Date cards, matching the rustic theme of their wedding. They even brought along their pooch Nolan for a handful of portraits. Here’s a little taste of what we got. Can’t wait to shoot their wedding in October. I’ll have some pretty steady content here on the blog in the next few months. Keep in the loop by subscribing to my Facebook page and following the blog.

Kayleigh | Boudoir Calendar Shoot

We had this boudoir-style session earlier last year. Kayleigh wanted to be sure her fiance Jaime remembered her every month of the year. She coordinated 13 different looks (1 for each month, 1 of the cover) to complete this project which was printed on a spiral center-fold calendar. Contact me if you’d like to set up a similar session of your own (it would make a great Valentine’s gift for that significant other)!

Danny+Brittany | Engagement | Fort Fisher, NC Photographer

This is another shoot I had before Christmas. Danny and Brittany are from Sunset Beach but wanted to have their engagement at Fort Fisher. We experienced all kinds of weather during this session; Sun, Clouds, Rain, Wind, Cold. But we made the best of it and got some great images. Brittany made some DIY save the date signs out of some wood lettering, which turned out to be a great prop for their session. I’ll look forward to shooting their wedding in a few months at Sunset Beach, NC!

The Mann Family | Family Portraits | Wrightsville Beach, NC Photographer

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years! I have a few sessions from before the holidays that will go up on the blog in the next few days. Here’s one I shot for the Mann Family down at the North End of Wrightsville Beach near Shell Island Resort. Our main goal for this shoot was to get them a new Christmas card portrait, I believe we succeeded!

Josh+Meredith | Maternity | Greenfield Lake, Wilmington, NC Photographer

Josh, Meredith & I got these Maternity photos the other week down at Greenfield Lake Park to document their growing child. Meredith is 32 weeks in these photos, so only a few weeks away until they meet their little boy! Congrats guys I know you’ll be wonderful parents!

Keith+Heather | Engagement | Fort Fisher, NC Photographer

We shot Keith & Heather’s engagement photos down at Ft Fisher a couple weeks ago. This is my most requested location, so it’s always fun and exciting to see what kind of new stuff I can come up with. I absolutely LOVE this first image. I’d hang it on my wall if that wouldn’t be weird. ha! Keith is the brother of Stephanie whose wedding I shot earlier this year! Looking forward to shooting their wedding at the Marriot in Carolina Beach next spring! Looking good guys!

Clint + Marisa | Shell Island Resort, Wrightsville Beach, NC Wedding Photographer

Wrightsville Beach WeddingI had the pleasure of shooting Clint and Marisa’s wedding in October at the beautiful Shell Island Resort on Wrightsville Beach, NC. Shell Island Resort sits at the very Northern tip of the island, featuring the largest open beach strand on the island. This couple is fun and energetic and I couldn’t wipe the big smile off my face while edited these images. This was my last wedding of the season and I can hardly wait to get started on next years! Thanks guys for letting me capture your special day!

Brie+Caroline | New York City Elopement

New York City ElopementI recently had the pleasure of traveling to New York to document the marriage of Brie & Caroline. In the days leading up to the ceremony, we explored around Brooklyn and Manhattan shooting some engagement-esque photos before the big day. We stayed at Hotel BPM in Brooklyn, with only a short subway ride to the craziness of Manhattan. We crammed as much as we could in our limited time there and still had time to hit the bars when the sun went down. The trip culminated with a beautiful, intimate ceremony in central park. Being my first time in NY it was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to go back! Here are a few of my favorites from the trip.
