Erin & Hunter’s wedding at The Annex at Brooklyn Arts Center was a smallish, family centric event hosted in the schoolhouse portion of the beautiful Brooklyn Arts Center in Downtown Wilmington, NC. An often overlooked event space, The Annex is connected, but separate, to the large church event space of Brooklyn Arts Center, and it is the perfect space for your small or medium sized wedding or event. The gorgeous stained glass windows, original woodworking and elegant lighting makes it a picture perfect location to host your event. Paired with the downstairs bridal and groom suites, as well as Ms. Cats Cottage next door, it truly is a one stop shop. Keeping with the theme of a family oriented event, their friend Trey officiated the ceremony in the upstairs auditorium, Erin’s nephew and nieces were the ring bearer & flower girls, and the best man was Hunter’s brother and the maid of honor, Erin’s sister. We managed to dodge any of those late afternoon summer storm patterns that had been plaguing the area, and utilized the beautiful courtyard of Brooklyn Arts Center for their family & bridal party portraits before joining the guests upstairs for a beautiful reception thoughtfully designed by Dia Mia Weddings & Events. There really isn’t a bad square inch of property for photos, so we made use of some of my favorite little nooks.
