Keith+Heather | Engagement | Fort Fisher, NC Photographer

We shot Keith & Heather’s engagement photos down at Ft Fisher a couple weeks ago. This is my most requested location, so it’s always fun and exciting to see what kind of new stuff I can come up with. I absolutely LOVE this first image. I’d hang it on my wall if that wouldn’t be weird. ha! Keith is the brother of Stephanie whose wedding I shot earlier this year! Looking forward to shooting their wedding at the Marriot in Carolina Beach next spring! Looking good guys!

Brie+Caroline | New York City Elopement

New York City ElopementI recently had the pleasure of traveling to New York to document the marriage of Brie & Caroline. In the days leading up to the ceremony, we explored around Brooklyn and Manhattan shooting some engagement-esque photos before the big day. We stayed at Hotel BPM in Brooklyn, with only a short subway ride to the craziness of Manhattan. We crammed as much as we could in our limited time there and still had time to hit the bars when the sun went down. The trip culminated with a beautiful, intimate ceremony in central park. Being my first time in NY it was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to go back! Here are a few of my favorites from the trip.

California 2012 – Part Two | John+Allie Engagement

If you read the previous post, you would know that during our stay at Andrew Molera State Park in Big Sur, CA, John proposed to Allie on one of the bluffs overlooking the bay. Well we decided to grab a couple shots of them at each location we went to. Since most of the photography I do is wedding/engagement photography, it only seemed natural. Check back for Part three tomorrow! If you missed Part One, check it out here, .

Jacob+Heather | Engagement | Fort Fisher, NC Photographer

I formatted these images for the blog a while back and I thought I had posted them. We had this session a little under a month ago down at Fort Fisher, North Carolina. This was one of my favorite sessions from down there, which tends to be the case whenever I shoot at Ft Fisher. We ended up doing some exploring in some spots I’ve never gone to, including climbing trees, bushwhacking and navigating some interesting tunnels through trees, it turned out to be quite the adventure. Jake joked that these images are going to help boost his career as a J.C. Penny catalog model. I’ll look forward to shooting their wedding this coming September!

Jaime+Kayleigh | Engagement | Pender County, NC

This will probably be my biggest engagement post to date. Epic location + Cool peeps + perfect light always equals gold. Kayleigh had her mind set on shooting in an oat field; and after the first potential field was already harvested, we had to do a little exploring. After almost giving up, we chanced into a perfect open field of oat, in a secluded location with some corn fields across the street. Perfect. I have all ideas they were probably going to cut this oat field down in the following fews days. These guys are long-time homies so shooting with them was nice and easy going. Can’t wait to possibly shoot their wedding in 10+ years lol.

Nick+Andrea | Engagement | Southport, NC Photographer

Here are some photos from Nick & Andrea’s Engagement Session in Southport, NC. This happy couple are from New York and decided to get their Engagement photos done here in the beautiful warm and sunny location of St. James Plantation in Southport. This development (which is enormous by the way) has four golf courses, four club houses and a marina with access to the ICW. It’s retiree paradise. We explored around The Reserve Club for a bit then ended our session down at the Marina. Here’s a few of what we got.

Orry+Lauren | Engagement | Southport, NC Photographer

I shot Orry and Lauren’s engagement session a couple weekends ago in Southport, NC. Our original plan of beginning the shoot at Orton plantation was a bust, since that place is still locked up like Fort Knox. We still managed to bag a bunch of incredible images in our short 2 session. These two were naturals making my job easy and fun. And any excuse to explore around the beautiful downtown district of Southport is a good one. I look forward to capturing Orry and Lauren’s Wedding at the Southport Community Center in May.

Alex+Kristin | Engagement | Fort Fisher, NC Photographer

We headed down to Fort Fisher for Alex and Kristin’s Engagement Session last Tuesday. This is one of my favorite places to shoot, I always come back with some unique images, regardless of how many times i’ve shot there. It was also my first session with the new equipment and I’m really diggin the way things are looking. I have a bridal session and another engagement session this weekend, so keep an eye out for those. Also, if you haven’t already, head over to my Facebook page and “like” it, I’ve been making it a priority to keep it up to date with my most recent work. You can access it by clicking on the Facebook tab on the left side of the blog. It was hard to narrow down the images to post for the blog cause there was so many great ones, but here are a few of my favorites. I look forward to shooting their wedding in June….
