The only downside about wedding photography is you get to know all these amazing couples, but as soon as the wedding is over, you loose touch. That’s not the case with these guys! I shot Bill & Stephanie’s wedding at Halyburton Park in June of 2012 and I shot Stephanie’s brother’s engagement and wedding photos and now I got to shoot Stephanie’s Maternity as they’re expecting!! Hopefully when Keith (her brother) and Heather plan on having kids they’ll give me a shout! Ha. Stephanie’s awesome parents joined on this shoot at the always fantastic Grove at Fort Fisher. Here’s what we got! Congrats guys!
We had this boudoir-style session earlier last year. Kayleigh wanted to be sure her fiance Jaime remembered her every month of the year. She coordinated 13 different looks (1 for each month, 1 of the cover) to complete this project which was printed on a spiral center-fold calendar. Contact me if you’d like to set up a similar session of your own (it would make a great Valentine’s gift for that significant other)!
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years! I have a few sessions from before the holidays that will go up on the blog in the next few days. Here’s one I shot for the Mann Family down at the North End of Wrightsville Beach near Shell Island Resort. Our main goal for this shoot was to get them a new Christmas card portrait, I believe we succeeded!
Had another fun session down at Holden Beach, NC a couple days after the last one. It’s kind of funny because I was referred to them by the people staying next door, who I was shooting portraits for a couple days earlier. It’s always good to get referrals. It’s quite a trek down to Holden from Wilmington, so making the drive couple days apart made me feel like I should just get a hotel room. But it is a fun drive and I enjoyed making it. This was a large and lively bunch, with a lot of fun ideas, like the human taco that you’ll see below. We shot some group shots and a bunch of various combinations. Here a few of those. I have a wedding this weekend then I’m heading to Cali for a couple weeks for the US Open of surfing and to explore Big Sur and Southern Cali. So the blog will be on a brief hiatus until I return.
