We kicked off May wedding season with Brittany & Alex’s wedding at the gorgeous Lucas Farm in Currie, NC. While only about 30 minutes from Wilmington, this is North Carolina country living at its finest. No better place to slap a gorgeous wedding venue than sandwiched between corn fields and farmland. Formerly a working tobacco farm, the original farmhouse, ham house, barn, and schoolhouse have been thoughtfully renovated into an ideal place to host your dream country farm wedding. I’ve seen plenty of pictures, but this is my first wedding at The Lucas Farm and I already can’t wait to get back. With 450 acres of land, filled with long leaf pine forests, it’s just itching to be explored for the endless photo opportunities. Brittany & Alex were a blast to be around, their infectious energy and love spread to all in attendance, putting your body into overdrive trying to control all the emotions. Many tears, laughs and good times were had as the day turned into night and the party ramped up. The dance floor was lively up until the last song, as the couple shared a private dance under the dimmed string lights inside the barn. Wishing many years of happiness to this happy couple!
