Becca & Colton’s Saint Thomas Preservation Hall wedding was the second wedding of a two-wedding weekend to kick off spring wedding season, both of which with my favorites, Belle Ame Weddings. It has been a few years since I have photographed a wedding at Saint Thomas Preservation Hall, and I’ll have to say I forgot how magnificent the space is. It’s a former Catholic Church, renovated into a beautiful wedding venue. The view from the balcony is epic. Its located directly across from the City Club Gardens that create a great backdrop for photos, and it’s just a quick couple blocks from the always scenic riverwalk. When walking into the main venue, Becca had displayed both her mothers wedding dress and her grandmothers wedding dress as a part of the welcome table. The look on her grandmothers face when she saw her wedding dress was one of those priceless moments that had everyone in the room teary eyed. The couple’s son was the star of the show, always a champ and always pointing a big smile at my camera. Their special lego unity ceremony was for him and his obvious love for legos; and when Colton pulled him onto the dance floor and into his arms during their first dance, there was not a dry eye in the room. When Becca “Iced” all the groomsmen before the ceremony, I knew we were in for a good time. When I first met these guys for their engagement session, I knew their laid-back easy going attitude was going to make them a pleasure to work with. So many special moments during such a special day, it was truly an honor to be apart of. Make your way to the bottom for a full list of vendors!
